The right Kapitus alternative depends on which part of Kapitus's box you fall outside. Its line of credit page asks for 2+ years in business and $250,000 in annual revenue, so younger or smaller businesses should look at Credibly (6 months, $15,000 a month), OnDeck (1 year, $100,000 a year), Bluevine (12 months, $10,000 a month) or the American Express line (1 year, $3,000 a month). If you want a second set of offers from a different network, compare Lendio or another broker. And if you can wait for a lower rate, an SBA loan is usually the cheapest route. Kapitus's own terms and seven alternatives are compared below, checked in November 2026.
What Kapitus offers (checked November 2026)
Kapitus was founded in 2006 as Strategic Funding Source. It says business owners had accessed more than $5 billion in financing through Kapitus as of March 2024.
- Products: business loans, lines of credit, revenue-based financing, equipment financing, purchase order financing, SBA loans, invoice factoring and Helix healthcare financing.
- Kapitus or its network: business loan and revenue-based financing offers come through Kapitus and/or members of its financing network; line of credit and equipment financing offers come through network members. Kapitus says one application can bring up to six competing offers.
- Line of credit eligibility: its line of credit page lists 2+ years in business, $250,000 in annual revenue and a 550 credit score, and advertises financing up to $900,000 with decisions in as little as 4 hours. Kapitus says you may still qualify if you do not meet every criterion.
- Pricing: Kapitus says its small business loans carry one fixed price rather than an interest rate, and that because they are short term, the calculated rate is higher than some longer options.
- Other published figures: United Capital Source's 2026 review cites term loans of $10,000 to $750,000 over 6 to 24 months and origination fees of 2.5% to 5%. Loans may be funded by WebBank, with the lender named in your agreement.
For an established business that meets those thresholds, Kapitus's mix of its own products and network offers is a reasonable way to compare. The alternatives below are for businesses outside that box or wanting another set of offers.
Who should look beyond Kapitus
- Under 2 years in business. Credibly lists 6 months; Bluevine, OnDeck and American Express ask for about a year.
- Revenue under $250,000 a year. That is about $20,800 a month. Credibly asks for $15,000 a month, Bluevine $10,000, OnDeck $100,000 a year and American Express $3,000 a month.
- Owners who want monthly payments. Bluevine, OnDeck lines and the American Express line offer monthly repayment, as do SBA and bank loans.
- Owners who want a second opinion. Different networks reach different lenders. Comparing two sets of offers can show whether the first was competitive.
- Strong credit and time to wait. An SBA 7(a) or bank loan will usually cost less than short-term financing.

Comparing multi-offer services
Kapitus, Lendio and FSE all aim to put more than one offer in front of you. They differ in who makes the offers and what they ask of you:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Is the company also a lender? | A firm that funds some deals itself and refers others may present its own product first. |
| Is there a fee to you? | Some brokers add a fee; others are paid only by the lender. |
| What are the minimums? | Time in business and revenue floors decide which lenders see your file. |
| Is credit pulled to apply? | Ask whether the check is soft or hard, and when. |
| Can you compare total payback? | Offers in different formats only compare fairly in total dollars repaid. |
Our guide on how to choose a business funding broker covers these questions, and how much a merchant cash advance costs shows how to compare factor-rate offers. If invoices or equipment drive the need, see invoice factoring and the equipment financing guide. Two of the options above have their own guides: Credibly alternatives and Lendio alternatives.
How FSE compares options from multiple lenders
Every lender above has its own credit box, and applying to them one at a time takes days and repeats the same paperwork. FSE (Funding Solutions Experts) is an independent commercial finance brokerage that works with 50+ lending partners across working capital, lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, real estate-backed funding and merchant cash advances. You complete one application, and FSE compares what your business may qualify for across those partners, so you can weigh a Kapitus-style offer against lines of credit, term loans, SBA options and equipment or invoice financing side by side on total cost, payment schedule and term.
- No fee to you. FSE never charges the business any fee; FSE is paid by commission from its funding partners.
- Minimums. At least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue.
- No credit check to apply. FSE's application does not ask for your Social Security number and does not pull your credit. An individual lender may check credit later in its own process.
- No promises we cannot keep. Approval, amounts and terms are set by each lender, and no approval is guaranteed.
If your business meets those minimums, you can apply once with FSE and compare offers from multiple lenders.
