Lendio alternatives fall into two groups. If you like the idea of one application reaching many lenders, the alternatives are other marketplaces and independent brokers, including Fundera (now part of NerdWallet), Kapitus's network and FSE. If you would rather deal with one lender directly, the closest options are online lenders such as Bluevine, the American Express Business Line of Credit, OnDeck and Credibly, or an SBA lender if you can wait for a lower rate. Below: what Lendio is, who might prefer something else, and the options compared, checked in November 2026.
What Lendio is (checked November 2026)
Lendio is a small business loan marketplace founded in 2011. It does not lend its own money; it connects businesses with a network of lending partners through one application.
- Network and products: Finder's October 2026 review describes a network of 75+ lenders, 11 financing types and amounts from $1,000 to $10 million.
- Minimums: Finder lists a 520 credit score, 6 months in business, and $50,000 a year or $8,000 a month in revenue, plus a U.S. business bank account.
- Cost to you: reviewers report that Lendio's service is free and that Lendio is paid by lenders when you are funded. Each lender's own fees, such as origination fees or prepayment terms, still apply.
- Credit: according to Finder, applying online with Lendio uses a soft credit check; a hard inquiry comes only if you proceed with a lender's formal application.
- Your information: Lendio shares information with its partners and other third parties, so expect contact from more than one company.
- Speed: funding can happen in as little as 24 hours for some products, and longer for SBA and bank loans.
For a business that is six months old or has revenue around $8,000 a month, Lendio's published minimums are lower than FSE's, so it is a reasonable place to start. The alternatives below suit businesses that want a different network, fewer contacts or a direct lender.
Who should look beyond Lendio
- Owners who want one point of contact. A direct lender or a single broker handles the whole file.
- Businesses that want a second set of offers. Marketplaces work with different lenders, so comparing two can surface options the first did not.
- Owners who prefer no credit inquiry at the application stage. Some brokers, including FSE, do not pull credit to apply.
- Good-credit borrowers who know what they want. If you already qualify for a Bluevine or American Express line, applying directly can be quicker.
- Businesses waiting for an SBA loan. An SBA lender can work your file directly; marketplace SBA requests still go to a lender for underwriting.

What to ask any marketplace or broker
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Do you charge me any fee, or are you paid by the lender? | Some brokers add their own fee to the deal; others are paid only by lender commission. |
| Will applying pull my credit? | Soft checks do not affect your score; hard inquiries can. Ask when each happens. |
| Who will see my information? | Sharing an application with many companies can mean many calls and emails. |
| How many lenders will actually review my file? | A large network matters less than how many lenders fit your industry, state and size. |
| Can I see total payback for every offer? | Comparing offers on total dollars repaid is the only fair comparison. |

How FSE compares options from multiple lenders
Every lender above has its own credit box, and applying to them one at a time takes days and repeats the same paperwork. FSE (Funding Solutions Experts) is an independent commercial finance brokerage that works with 50+ lending partners across working capital, lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, real estate-backed funding and merchant cash advances. You complete one application, and FSE compares what your business may qualify for across those partners, so you can weigh offers from several lenders, including lines of credit, term loans and equipment financing, side by side on total cost, payment schedule and term.
- No fee to you. FSE never charges the business any fee; FSE is paid by commission from its funding partners.
- Minimums. At least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue.
- No credit check to apply. FSE's application does not ask for your Social Security number and does not pull your credit. An individual lender may check credit later in its own process.
- No promises we cannot keep. Approval, amounts and terms are set by each lender, and no approval is guaranteed.
If your business meets those minimums, you can apply once with FSE and compare offers from multiple lenders.
Frequently asked questions
Is Lendio a direct lender?
No. Lendio is a marketplace that connects businesses with its lending partners. The lender you choose sets the terms and makes the loan.
Is Lendio free to use?
Reviewers report that Lendio's service is free to the business and that Lendio is paid by lenders when a loan funds. Lender fees still apply to each offer.
Does Lendio do a hard credit pull?
According to Finder, Lendio uses a soft credit check when you apply online. A lender may run a hard inquiry if you move forward with its formal application.
What are Lendio's minimum requirements?
Finder lists a 520 credit score, 6 months in business, and $50,000 in annual revenue or $8,000 a month. Individual lenders in the network set their own, often higher, minimums.
How is FSE different from Lendio?
Both say they are free to the business and compare offers from many lenders. FSE's application does not pull credit at all, and FSE works with businesses that have at least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue, which is a higher bar than Lendio's published minimums.
