Mulligan Funding Alternatives: 7 Options Compared (2026)

Last updated: November 2026

The most common reason to look for Mulligan Funding alternatives is its revenue minimum: Mulligan asks for at least $750,000 in annualized revenue, about $62,500 a month. Smaller businesses should compare Forward Financing and Bluevine ($10,000 a month), Credibly ($15,000 a month), OnDeck ($100,000 a year) and the American Express line ($3,000 a month). If you want a revolving line rather than a lump sum, look at Bluevine, OnDeck or American Express. If you need more than 24 months to repay, Biz2Credit and Rapid Finance publish terms up to 60 months, and SBA 7(a) working capital loans run up to 10 years. Each option is compared below, checked in November 2026.

What Mulligan Funding offers (checked November 2026)

Mulligan Funding is a San Diego-based business lender that says it has provided working capital since 2008. Its site says most of its business loans are issued by FinWise Bank, a Utah state-chartered bank, Member FDIC, and that final loan decisions may be subject to FinWise Bank's underwriting.

  • Products: working capital loans, its most popular product, completed over a matter of months; and business term loans for larger amounts or longer repayment.
  • Amounts and terms: up to $10 million, with terms from 3 to 24 months.
  • Published minimums: at least $750,000 in annualized revenue over the previous 12 months, at least 6 months in business and a 625+ credit score, plus no more than one daily-debit loan and no open bankruptcies.
  • Where it lends: all 50 states plus Washington, D.C.
  • Speed: approval in as little as a few hours and funding as soon as the same business day, for complete applications submitted during business hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT).
  • Cost: rates and fees are not published on its homepage; terms are customized to each business.

For a business with $750,000 or more in annual revenue that needs a larger amount quickly, Mulligan is a reasonable option. The alternatives below are for businesses below that bar or wanting a different structure.

Who should look beyond Mulligan Funding

  • Revenue under $750,000 a year. Forward Financing and Bluevine ask for $10,000 a month, Credibly $15,000 a month, OnDeck $100,000 a year and the American Express line $3,000 a month.
  • Credit score under 625. Forward Financing and Credibly publish a 500 minimum.
  • Already carrying more than one daily-debit loan or advance. That is outside Mulligan's published criteria. Before adding another position, compare the total cost of what you already owe; consolidating may make more sense than stacking.
  • Want a revolving line of credit. Bluevine, OnDeck and the American Express line let you draw, repay and draw again.
  • Need more than 24 months. Biz2Credit and Rapid Finance advertise term loans up to 60 months; SBA 7(a) loans run up to 10 years for working capital.
  • Strong credit and time to wait. SBA and bank loans usually cost the least.

How FSE compares options from multiple lenders

Every lender above has its own credit box, and applying to them one at a time takes days and repeats the same paperwork. FSE (Funding Solutions Experts) is an independent commercial finance brokerage that works with 50+ lending partners across working capital, lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, real estate-backed funding and merchant cash advances. You complete one application, and FSE compares what your business may qualify for across those partners, so you can weigh short-term working capital against lines of credit, longer term loans and SBA options side by side on total cost, payment schedule and term.

  • No fee to you. FSE never charges the business any fee; FSE is paid by commission from its funding partners.
  • Minimums. At least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue.
  • No credit check to apply. FSE's application does not ask for your Social Security number and does not pull your credit. An individual lender may check credit later in its own process.
  • No promises we cannot keep. Approval, amounts and terms are set by each lender, and no approval is guaranteed.

If your business meets those minimums, you can apply once with FSE and compare offers from multiple lenders.
