The right National Funding alternative depends on what you need to change. If your revenue is under the roughly $250,000 a year that reviewers cite for National Funding, look at the American Express Business Line of Credit ($3,000 a month minimum) or the Bluevine Line of Credit ($10,000 a month). If daily or weekly payments strain your cash flow, Bluevine and American Express offer monthly repayment. For more than $500,000 or a lower rate, consider SBA 7(a) loans or bank financing, and for equipment above National Funding's $150,000 limit, a dedicated equipment finance company. National Funding's own terms and seven alternatives are compared below, checked in November 2026.
What National Funding offers (checked November 2026)
National Funding is a San Diego-based small business lender founded in 1999. It says it has served more than 100,000 customers.
| Product | Amount | Repayment |
|---|---|---|
| Working capital loans | $6,000 to $500,000 | Daily or weekly payments by ACH, over 4 to 24 months |
| Equipment financing | Up to $150,000, up to 100% of the equipment cost | Monthly payments over 2 to 5 years |
- Credit: National Funding says most of its customers have a personal FICO of 600 or higher, that it looks at the full business profile, and that checking your options does not affect your score.
- Time in business and revenue: National Funding does not list these minimums on its loan pages. Finder's October 2026 review cites six months in business and $250,000 or more in annual revenue.
- Speed: it advertises same-day approvals and funds as fast as 24 hours.
- Early payoff: it may offer early payoff discounts, disclosed before you accept; you must pay the balance in full and stay in good standing.
- Fees: Finder lists origination fees and late or NSF penalties, and no prepayment penalty.
- Referrals: if National Funding cannot offer financing, it says it may try to match you with one of its partners.
Who should look beyond National Funding
- Revenue under about $250,000 a year. That is roughly $20,800 a month. The American Express line asks for $3,000 a month, Bluevine $10,000 a month, OnDeck $100,000 a year and Credibly $15,000 a month.
- Daily or weekly payments that do not fit your cash flow. Bluevine offers weekly or monthly plans, OnDeck lines can be repaid monthly, and SBA, bank and equipment loans are paid monthly.
- Strong credit and a wish to pay less. SBA loans and bank financing usually cost the least for strong files, and online lines such as Bluevine and American Express can price below short-term working capital loans.
- Need more than $500,000. Credibly advertises up to $600,000, SBA 7(a) loans go up to $5 million, and real estate-backed financing can support larger amounts.
- Equipment over $150,000. Banks and equipment finance companies regularly finance larger purchases.
- A revolving line rather than a lump sum. If you need to draw repeatedly, a line of credit avoids reapplying each time.

How FSE compares options from multiple lenders
Every lender above has its own credit box, and applying to them one at a time takes days and repeats the same paperwork. FSE (Funding Solutions Experts) is an independent commercial finance brokerage that works with 50+ lending partners across working capital, lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, real estate-backed funding and merchant cash advances. You complete one application, and FSE compares what your business may qualify for across those partners, so you can weigh a National Funding-style working capital loan against lines of credit, SBA loans and equipment financing side by side on total cost, payment schedule and term.
- No fee to you. FSE never charges the business any fee; FSE is paid by commission from its funding partners.
- Minimums. At least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue.
- No credit check to apply. FSE's application does not ask for your Social Security number and does not pull your credit. An individual lender may check credit later in its own process.
- No promises we cannot keep. Approval, amounts and terms are set by each lender, and no approval is guaranteed.
If your business meets those minimums, you can apply once with FSE and compare offers from multiple lenders.
