The best PayPal Working Capital alternatives depend on how much of your revenue runs through PayPal. If most of it does and you want fixed payments instead of a share of sales, PayPal's own Business Loan is the closest step. If you also sell through Shopify, Square or Stripe, each has a similar sales-based program. And if PayPal is only part of your revenue, a lender that looks at all your bank deposits, such as the Bluevine or American Express lines of credit, OnDeck or Credibly, can usually size an offer to your whole business. Below: what PayPal Working Capital offers today, who should look elsewhere and eight alternatives, all checked in November 2026.
What PayPal Working Capital offers (checked November 2026)
- Amount: $1,000 to $250,000, or up to $400,000 for repeat borrowers, based on your PayPal sales history.
- Cost: one fixed fee and no periodic interest. The fee is shown in your offer before you accept, and there is no penalty for paying early.
- Repayment: automatic, as a percentage of each PayPal sale that you choose. Every 90 days you must repay at least 5% or 10% of the total amount (loan plus fee), depending on the loan; if sales are slow, you make up the difference.
- Eligibility: a PayPal Business or Premier account for at least 90 days, and at least $15,000 (Business) or $20,000 (Premier) in annual PayPal sales.
- Credit: no personal credit check to apply, according to PayPal.
- Lender: loans are issued by WebBank.
For a seller whose revenue runs mostly through PayPal, this is one of the simplest products available: no credit check, no fixed payment date, and money in minutes once approved. The reasons to compare alternatives are size, structure and the fact that the offer only sees your PayPal sales.
Who should look beyond PayPal Working Capital
- Businesses where PayPal is only part of revenue. The offer is sized on PayPal sales alone, so a business that takes most of its money by card terminal, ACH or check will usually be offered less than its total revenue supports.
- Owners who need more than $250,000 on a first loan. The higher $400,000 ceiling applies to repeat borrowers only.
- Owners who want a fixed, predictable payment. A share of each sale is flexible, but the 90-day minimum still applies. A term loan or line of credit has a known payment.
- Businesses that need a second facility. You can have one PayPal Working Capital loan at a time.
- Anyone who wants to reuse the money. Working Capital is a lump sum. A line of credit lets you draw, repay and draw again.

Platform financing or a lender that sees all your deposits?
| Platform programs (PayPal, Shopify, Square, Stripe) | Deposit-based lenders and lines of credit | |
|---|---|---|
| How the offer is sized | Sales processed on that one platform | All business bank deposits, plus credit and time in business |
| Credit check | Often none to apply (PayPal Working Capital, Shopify Capital) | Usually a soft check to pre-qualify and a fuller check before funding |
| How you repay | A share of platform sales, with periodic minimums | Fixed daily, weekly or monthly payments |
| Cost format | One fixed fee | Interest, a monthly fee or a factor rate, plus any origination fee |
| Use it when | Most revenue runs through that platform | Revenue comes in through several channels |
A fixed fee is not the same as a low cost: a fee repaid in four months costs far more per year than the same fee spread over a year. How FSE compares options from multiple lenders
Every lender above has its own credit box, and applying to them one at a time takes days and repeats the same paperwork. FSE (Funding Solutions Experts) is an independent commercial finance brokerage that works with 50+ lending partners across working capital, lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, real estate-backed funding and merchant cash advances. You complete one application, and FSE compares what your business may qualify for across those partners, so you can weigh a PayPal-style fixed-fee advance against lines of credit, term loans and revenue-based financing side by side on total cost, payment schedule and term.
- No fee to you. FSE never charges the business any fee; FSE is paid by commission from its funding partners.
- Minimums. At least 1 year in business and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue.
- No credit check to apply. FSE's application does not ask for your Social Security number and does not pull your credit. An individual lender may check credit later in its own process.
- No promises we cannot keep. Approval, amounts and terms are set by each lender, and no approval is guaranteed.
If your business meets those minimums, you can apply once with FSE and compare offers from multiple lenders.
Frequently asked questions
What are the requirements for PayPal Working Capital?
A PayPal Business or Premier account for at least 90 days and at least $15,000 (Business) or $20,000 (Premier) in annual PayPal sales. PayPal does not run a personal credit check to apply.
What is the difference between PayPal Working Capital and the PayPal Business Loan?
Working Capital is repaid as a share of your PayPal sales and is sized on PayPal volume. The Business Loan has fixed weekly payments over 17 to 52 weeks, looks at your whole business and checks credit.
Can I have two PayPal Working Capital loans at once?
No. You can have one Working Capital loan at a time. Repeat borrowers may qualify for up to $400,000 on a later loan.
Is there a PayPal Working Capital alternative with no credit check?
Shopify Capital says it runs no credit checks, and Square says applying does not affect your credit score. Both are only for sellers on those platforms. FSE's application does not pull credit either, although a lender may check credit later in its own process.
What happens if my PayPal sales drop?
You repay less each day, but you must still meet the minimum payment every 90 days. If sales do not cover it, you pay the difference from another source.
